Traits
Other Mustelid [Large] (Exclusive)
The Datakit is not a ferret, but instead a different species of mustelid! Covers any species that are larger on average than domestic ferrets.
Shapeshifting (Exclusive)
The Datakit can shapeshift into a different species of animal at will! Must retain as many of the features from the main Datakit form as possible, including color, markings, and traits, with allowances made to accommodate the change in species. Does not include mustelids or mephitidae - those instead fall under Multiform, with their respective species trait!
Note that you do not need additional traits for features that are typical of the shapeshifting form’s species. For example, a Datakit that shapeshifts into a bird does not need the Wings trait, and a rabbit does not need Long Ears, unless these features are present on their primary form.
Aquatic Parts (Exclusive)
The Datakit has features from underwater creatures, such as fins or gills!
Electricity (Exclusive)
The Datakit has electricity coming off of their body! This may be present all of the time or only occasionally.
Avian Parts (Exclusive)
The Datakit has features from birds, such as a beak or talons! Does not include wings. Feathers may not be placed behind a Datakit’s ears.
Pure Energy (Exclusive)
The Datakit is made entirely of energy! Must still have a facial LED. Bypasses traits such as Exposed Energy and Energy Tail.
Translucent (Exclusive)
The Datakit has transparent parts, allowing you to see through them! This may expose electronic circuitry or mechanisms, but not gore.
Off-Model (Exclusive)
Something about this Datakit is.... strange. They're really pushing the limits of Datakit anatomy!
This trait allows for bizarre anatomical features such as extreme proportions, floating limbs, bodies made out of unusual materials, and a wide variety of other mutations! The possibilities may not be endless - but they sure are wide!
Body LED Screens (Common)
LED screens anywhere on the body besides the face or inner ears! Can display anything or nothing at all with no restrictions; facial LED traits do not apply.
Glowing Pattern (Common)
Markings on the Datakit that can glow! Does not apply to LED screens, which can be backlit on their own.
Electronic Parts (Common)
Robotic or mechanical parts on a Datakit! Does not apply to prosthetics, which do not require traits.
Glitch Effects (Common)
The Datakit has a glitchy appearance! This may be present all of the time or only occasionally. Does not cover chromatic aberration or floating pixels.
Long Claws (Common)
Claws that are much larger than average for the Datakit’s species! These claws can optionally be retractable.
